What is Myofascial Release?
Myofascial release focuses on reducing pain by easing the tension and tightness in the bodies trigger points and can restore normal joint function and relieve pain by stretching tight, restrictive connective tissue (fascia).
Using hands on manipulation, myofascial release therapy helps to stretch and restore proper mobility to tissues that might be affecting blood flow and nerve conductivity. Pain, inflammation, limited motion, restricted blood and lymph flow, or nerve dysfunction can be symptoms of the skeletal muscle or connective tissues that are being restricted by tight or damaged fascia.
Using myofascial therapy, Dr. Marc can alleviate pain, restore movement, decrease inflammation and promote healing.
